If you are a feminBITCH go back to that kitchen whence you came and make daddy a sandwich, that's a good little girl. Oh you are offended and/or triggered by what I just said? GOOD, and I hope that fireworks are shooting out of your ears. God knows that there's plenty of room in your head to contain those. Well done, Alux, for having the BALLS (no, not ovaries they are not the same BITCHES) to call things as they are. The social terrorists that are SEXIST to no end, that have hurt women more than anyone else and have been self-contradictory when it comes to actual gender equality who call themselves feminists should be publicly and summarily EXECUTED as a deterrent to all would-be-feminist bitches. And by the way... that sandwich is not going to make itself, darlings. Thus spoke DADDY. Enough said.

Interesting how entities put out "research studies" without putting out all of the facts. This is to get people into hysterics so they will conform to the entity's agenda. It has nothing to do with reality. Medical "studies" are notorious for this. lol I really appreciate Alux for giving us the facts.

20% interesting, 80% rubbish. They distort these studies big time. On the top of being a scientist, I've also worked in the area of gender studies. It's just sad how studies are being misused and people that are not in related academic fields buy it...

Men may seem more competitive, but that does not mean their contributions to humanity are more valuable than those of women. Try not to forget the gender of most or all of the CEOs of Wall Street Banks who evaded responsibility for the Global Financial Meltdown of 2008. I am sure they could be described as highly competitive.
Mimi (2 months ago)
+John Ostapeic They are not, she explained that in the video. Women and men usually do different jobs which make it seem like they're not being paid equal
John Ostapeic (2 months ago)
+Mimi Then why are men paid more for work of equal value OR why are women not compensated more equitably for the responsibilities they are expected to do?
Mimi (2 months ago)
Responsibility and being competitive are two different things. Also, nobody ever said that men's contribution to humanity is more valuable?
John Ostapeic (2 months ago)
It may be true that on average women work less 'paid' hours than men, but that does not necessarily mean they work less hours than men.
Mimi (2 months ago)
+John Ostapeic Well, if women do work that they are not paid for then there is still no wage gap because women are CHOOSING to do that
John Ostapeic (2 months ago)
+Mimi I believe she meant doing work that one gets paid for and has a 'derived' demand that is high for the purpose of getting wealthy. After all, do you really think women are lazier than men or that the work women like to do or have to do is not as valuable as the paid work of the so-called 'alpha' males on Wall Street or in Silicon Valley?
Mimi (2 months ago)
what? She clearly stated that women tend to STAY AWAY from overworking
John Ostapeic (2 months ago)
Where it states that 'women specialize in fields that pay less than men' begs the question as to who decides what fields are highly valuable and what fields are not. Is it really a matter of what the 'market' bears suggesting it is based on something that is 'value-free' OR is it based on values and beliefs that are gender biased or ethnocentric? After all, those who own the gold make the rules - The Golden Rule

I am a woman and personally I don’t want a stressful job and I don’t want work to be the focus of my life. I am not human capital and I don’t care how the economy works. I also don’t like competition and I don’t like ambition. I got fired from a job in real estate because instead of focusing on making more money to the studio I was doing the bare minimum and watching YouTube videos in my spare time.

I’d like to add a couple of thoughts: 1) If you think that sexism is imaginary then may I point out that until the beginning of the 20th century, women were barred from higher education, not allowed to vote and had no effective birth control or right to an abortion. 2) Isn’t it true that typically male occupations are more highly valued by society than typically female ones? Why is engineering paid so much better than raising children, for example? Is raising the next generation not important? Or why are female athletes paid a fraction of male athletes’ earnings? Women are working every bit as hard as the men but their efforts are simply not valued as much. Hockey players are millionaires while ballerinas usually make less than truck drivers. Get my point?

Why? In my own opinion, it's based on their cognitive functions, even in education, because while men are always skeptical about they think is wrong, and their mind isn't on memorization but more likely to be logic and reasoning, women easily agree in things and focus more on memorization. I hope this helps

Oppertunity I wanted a position at my current workplace but I was not qualified enough according to my manager.I then found another similar position at the same company and told my manager. Then I got the position I wanted, that I was not qualified enough for because my manager did not want me to leave the group. I knew I was under qualified but I new I could learn whatever I needed:)

I think that it is all about choices and what we want to do as individuals. For me as a woman I don’t want children so that choice might change how much I earn compared to other women who choose to have children. But as a person I also value vacation than earning more money. I also think that it is more important to be liked and enjoy your work than just work than to earn money. I think that as long as I earn enough to get by I rather work with something that I love an that I like the people I work with that all that matters to me.

I actually lean a little to the left, but I love truth like this regardless of who it pleases. That's partially why I don't call myself liberal or conservative, and I have hangups about both. But in all honesty I think a lot of these reasons women make less actually make women look a lot better than men.

Anyone who negotiates too hard for a salary up front, doesn't understand the concept of political capital. It's smarter to 'get your foot in the door,' than risk lose the job offer. You can always ask for a raise and a promotion after you've shown that you're the best.
