21:06
Take a brisk paced, scenic hike through the lush, old growth forest, alongside a roaring mountain river. Filmed on a sunny morning in July 2015. This video is excellent for use with a treadmill, or stationary bike, or to just enjoy the scenery. It can also be useful to help plan your trip to visit this area, which is located just off of Highway 126, between Eugene/Springfield, and Bend, Oregon. Enjoy.

Virtual Hike: Deep Old Growth Forest and Lake - Actual Sound 15min

15:48
At the request of some viewers, this hike video now has the original sounds of the hike, without the added music. Please note that it was very quiet there, which you will notice. It was so quiet there that the camcorder mechanism itself can be heard slightly. The quiet there is why I love this hike. along with the greenery, trees, and fresh air (fresh air which I wish I could bring you but of course cannot). Filmed in the mountains of Oregon.

US Navy: Nimitz-Class Supercarrier Salute - San Diego CA - Featuring the Blue Angels

02:57
A patriotic look at the Nimitz-class aircraft carriers which frequent San Diego, CA. A few clips of the Blue Angels included -- after their two years with the Navy and Marines demonstration team, these ships are where they often go back to serve after two years or so on the demonstration team. Six of the ten Nimitz-class carriers are shown in this video, on San Diego bay. Some chosen footage from nearly seven years of filming them - Difficult to narrow down what footage to squeeze into three minutes. UPDATE: I hope to add a seventh carrier to the six I've filmed so far, in late 2015. In order of appearance in this video are: *USS John C. Stennis CVN-74, in 2007 visiting her old home port. *USS Carl Vinson CVN 70 entering her new home for first time. This was just after weeks of providing medical care, food and water to Haiti, after the devastating earthquake. *USS Nimitz CVN-68, whose home port is San Diego for only a few more weeks. (I will be filming her exit for her new home port in Washington state soon.) *USS George Washington CVN-73, disembarking to become stationed in Japan. She had stopped over to load supplies after leaving Washington. *USS Abraham Lincoln CVN-72, deploying *USS Ronald Reagan CVN-76, shown here from earlier in 2010, and also from last year. *The vessel alongside some of these ships, raising the American flag, is a local privately owned ship called the "America" - They volunteer their time to raise our flag alongside Navy ships.

US Navy: USS John C. Stennis CSG: Mobile Bay, Kidd, Dewey, Pinckney, Meyer, Welcome Home! 02/27/2012

04:48
Posted for the families and friends of the crew. Fair winds and following seas! Filmed in San Diego, CA. Note: Audio in this video has been changed, in order to comply with YouTube regulations. About this video: The John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group returned to San Diego following an exemplary seven-month deployment to the western Pacific and Middle East. The Carrier strike group includes the Nimitz-class carrier USS John C. Stennis, which is homeported in Bremerton, Wash., the San Diego-based guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay, guided-missile destroyers USS Pinckney, USS Kidd, USS Dewey and USS Wayne E. Meyer, Destroyer Squadron 21 and Carrier Air Wing 9. While deployed, the ships played a pivotal role in the draw-down of U.S. forces in Iraq. On Dec. 18, an E-2C "Hawkeye" aircraft which was part of Carrier Air Wing 9 flew the last Navy aviation mission over Iraq. "Flying the last Navy air mission in Iraq was a historic achievement for all of us," said Capt. Dale Horan, former commander of Carrier Air Wing 9. "Everyone in this strike group played a major part in making that happen and it's a part of history we will always share." In January, while supporting operations in Afghanistan, John C. Stennis Carrier Strike Group forces thwarted an attempted pirate attack on a Bahamian-flagged cargo vessel and freed a group of Iranian mariners from the suspected pirates, Navy officials said. "Our goal was safety and security, protecting the lives of those fishermen," said Cmdr. Jennifer L. Ellinger, commanding officer of the USS Kidd. "We were just happy to save lives and help people." The strike group also conducted several exercises with partner countries in the western Pacific and made stops in Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines. ___________________

Exploring Mexico's Coronado Islands (Near San Diego, CA)

06:00
A brief look at the Coronado Islands as seen from the "Bright and Morning Star" tour boat, whose Web site is... http://www.sandiegotours.us/offer/2382/Coronado-Island-Nature-Cruise-from-San-Diego The Coronado Islands are four small, almost uninhabited, islands about sixteen miles south of Point Loma, and about twelve miles off the coast of Rosarito Beach, Baja, Mexico. This video is not about Coronado in San Diego, (which is a peninsula, not an island). This video shows each island, as well as a few folks, such as fishermen, and divers diving for sea urchins. Also in this video is a rare look at a bird known as "Oyster Catcher." Environmentally protected by the Mexican government, it's illegal to set foot on these islands. However, under certain conditions, in 2009, touring, scuba diving, and fishing were allowed around them. Disclaimer: Viewer verify all information independently on your own. Interestingly, several popular movies were partially filmed there, such as a scene from Jurrasic Park (3:03). Additional interesting trivia... L Ron Hubbard, the (now deceased) elusive extravagant founder of Scientology, was the US Navy's CO of the USS PC-815. Without permission from his superiors, he fired ordinance at the smallest island - aka "Bombers's Rock" at 3:11 - in May of 1943 for target practice. He is said to have believed at the time that the islands belonged to the US, but they belong to Mexico. Mexico's government complained, and as a result, the Navy relieved him of his command. Near the end in this vid is Pirate's Cove. It was at one time a hiding place for pirate ships lying in wait to attack ships which were sailing the coast of California. It was also a transport place for the shipment of Rum to California ports during the Prohibition. Remains of a former casino where Groucho Marx once gambled is shown at 4:07 . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coronado_Islands

Afraid of Heights? Tall Ship Setting Sails Seen From Atop Masts

06:09
The majestic tall ship Lady Washington! Brace yourself watching this video, as it is an awesome demonstration from first person view, of the dangerous task of setting the sails atop this "official ship of the state of Washington". One of the skilled crew of the tall ship Lady Washington graciously sported my GoPro atop the mast of her, while setting sails on Coos Bay, Oregon. "Thanks" to my friend "Tarzan" (as he asked to be called in this video), for accepting my invitation to wear my forehead strapped GoPro device for us. I sat down below on deck, amazed at the skills of he and the other crew at their mastery of command of this ship and her many ropes, sails, and various things needing to be done constantly while at sea. Two hundred years of sailing the seas has brought us many modernizations, but the artistry of these masterful old wooden replicas is truly an adventurous step back in time. You can read more about Lady Washington (1987-present day), her many movie appearances, and also the fascinating history of the original ship (years 1787-1797AD) at these links here... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_Washington Visit her through Grays Harbor Historica Seaport Authority, in Washington, by visiting here... http://www.historicalseaport.org/ships/lady-washington/ Where is Lady Washington right now?... http://www.historicalseaport.org/where-are-the-ships/ MUSIC Attributions in this video, in order of play, are: I Saw Three Ships by Audionautix is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution license (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/) Artist: http://audionautix.com/ Special Note about this song as played in this video: "I Saw Three Ships" is played, in part, at the beginning, and then again, in part, at the end of this video. Birds - Pelicans in Flight w/ J. S. Bach, Prelude #1 in C Major (piano, Imperial Beach, CA)

02:34
" If I had to choose, I would rather have birds than airplanes." - Charles Lindbergh Pelicans filmed in flight over Imerial Beach CA, with J.S Bach's Prelude in C major. Piano only, version. This is one of my favorite film efforts of my hundreds of uploads. Special thanks to the very few but special people who have sent personal notes to me about it. Of all my uploads, the popular ones are often not the same ones that I like most. This video is a good example. It is one of my favorite films I've made. These scenes are repeated daily at Imperial Beach, CA; but seldom do we take the time to carefully view the aerodynamic maneuvering skills, incredible eyesight, and persistence of these birds while they search for daily food. We are too busy as a society - we are spinning our wheels. And so many of us never get a chance to really see what is around us, except what we want to see, at any given seldom free moment. Stop, listen, enjoy.

Sleep Ambience - Crickets, 1 Hour - One Full Hour of Forest Night Sounds

01:00:04
Eight hour version here... http://youtu.be/DKsR8D44L1M This is the 1 hr version of my popular 15 minute version of same. The audio contains mostly crickets, with occasional other distant night sounds. The video is not a still picture, but is actually moving video of Yosemite National Park, filmed in the daytime, then made to look like nighttime. The clouds are real, the stars are computer generated. You will see an occasional shooting star (computer generated), and at least one passing plane in the far distance. I make these for myself, as I have sleep apnea, and tinnitus, for which this helps me getting to sleep. I hope it helps some of you also, and your comments and suggestions are welcome, I actually reside very close to the wilderness, to mountains and rivers now, and will be making many more of these, with real-life on-location visuals and audio. Here is the eight hour version... http://youtu.be/DKsR8D44L1M (Video copyright J Beer - YouTube/TallSky)

US Navy: USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) Welcome to Your New Home Port San Diego, 04/2010

04:01
Posted for the families and friends of the crew. San Diego, CA. About this video: The Supercarrier USS Carl Vinson as she first enters her new home port of San Diego, California in April of 2010. Their coming home to the new port was delayed following the massive and devastating earthquake in Haiti. These crew provided much relief to the victims of that earthquake. http://www.helphaitinow.org/ The earthquake struck while they were on the way here to San Diego. CVN-70, being nearby Haiti at the time of the quake, stopped offshore of Haiti and then helped deliver tons of food, water, and medical aid to the Haitians. Bravo Zulu Vinson! _______________ If you are interested in sending care package items http://www.soldiersangels.org/ Soldiers' Angels is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit with hundreds of thousands of volunteers providing aid and comfort to the men and women of the United States Navy, Marines, Army, Air Force, Coast Guard, veterans and their families. Virtual Hike: Moraine Lake (actual sound) Banff National Park, Alberta, Canada (#1B)

18:50
18 minute length. This video is for treadmill use and includes some incredible scenic views. This is the second of two videos shot alongside Moraine Lake. This one leaves the actual sound in, with no music added. Very little editing done with this version. You see it as it was. I had to stop and clean the lens once or twice, then stabilize: that's it. Have a good workout!

Relaxing Moon Set Over Ocean Beach with Surf Sounds, 1 Hour (Newport, Oregon)

01:00:02
A very relaxing HD video of a moon-set over the pacific ocean, shot over the first pre-dawn morning of 2015. Regarding the video - the actual moon is behind the better moon shot that I added later in software. The original moon in this shot is BEHIND the later added moon from another video, and the reason it does not go down is because I wasn't going to stay up all night to capture it. (That particular video requires purchase.) This video loops about every thirty minutes. The moon is actually going down for 30 minutes behind the later added moon. Please don't leave comments about the "realness" of the video without reading the description first - thanks. Video copyright 2015 J Beer all rights reserved. This Ocean scene was filmed in Newport, Oregon, during the pre-dawn of January 1st, 2015. The aperture was opened to brighten the reflection off the water to be seen as it actually was. In doing so, the moon became too washed out (too bright and fuzzy). So,a full moon is added over the actual 3/4 moon portion of the video frames, which full-moon I had taken previously at an earlier time. (This is the largest video upload ever to date at YouTube/TallSky, of my 500+ video uploads. It is an 8 gigabyte HD video file. Update - I've since uploaded videos larger than 17 gigabytes.) Enjoy! Note: I occasionally use my own footage to help me get a restful nights sleep. Hope this helps some of you.

Blue Angels Walkdown (Short Video Version) 2015 Oregon National Air Show

04:30
Highlights from the show. The United States Navy Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Squadron performs their walkdown, startup, and taxi, at the Oregon National Air Show, in Hillsboro. Sit and enjoy from my front/center seat. I have changed the name of my video titles to National rather than International. This is an intentional statement. Why, you ask? There is subtle and treacherous terminology being used that is very slowly conditioning us to accept the idea of a one world government. Sound paranoid? Sounds radical? Just wait to hear what the Pope is going to say when he addresses our congress in late September 2015. He will be arriving in the United states on the 23rd of September. Also, the United Nations will be unfolding a new plan for "the world" - entitled, "Agenda 30". "Why", you may ask, "is a one world government a bad idea?". The answer is very very simple: There is no checks and balances. There will be no equal power to which this form of governing the world's peoples can be accountable. Ultimate power corrupts to the ultimate. If these ideas sound radical to you, save this playlist, and come back and read it again a year or two from now. Changes will be subtle over a few more years, to prevent public rebellion. I would ask the pilots themselves, about their sworn duty to the United States Constitution, of which, the current "Commander In Chief" of our military is undermining. As the son of a U.S. Navy Admiral, gentlemen, I tell you there will come a time when your loyalty will be tested by Navy Brass, and you will have to decide.
