The name was inspired by earl gray tea. This freshly planted tree is dark and simple, like earl gray tea. Out of all the trees we planted, he was my favorite. We also had one named Alfred, but the soil didn’t want him and neither did the pot, for the soil was super hard and we could barely dig a hole and the pot let him out super easily. He was the runt of the litter. We also had Patricia and Agatha, but they aren’t important. And then lots more, who stand nameless right now.

This was taken in Puerto Vallarta, México at the beach by our hotel. My parents got super lucky when they went out for a walk on the beach and came across sea turtles hatching. I only have their videos and pictures, but I still feel really lucky to have this amazing footage.
